A Special Thank You!

I just wanted to say thank you. I want to thank my youth group for being there for me when I need you and being great friends. I love you all very much and I honestly don’t know what I would do without ya’ll. Ya’ll truly are me best friends and I couldn’t ask for better ones. You guys mean the world to me and Im glad that I’m able to say, “Yeah thats my youth group and my family.” I also want to thank the adults thats spend time with the youth group and plan things and take care of us and make things like camps, Winterfest, Celebration and even the small things possible. Everyone always says that they have the best youth group or go to the best church but I always beg to differ there is no way in the world you could ask for a better group of God-loving, caring, and compassionate people. I love you guys. ❤

Procrastination

What are ways you procrastinate? What are ways you procrastinate God? Why do you procrastinate? Sunday night at youth group I was asked these questions. There are so many ways you can procrastinate and procrastinate God. I found it very interesting that when we procrastinate small things such as homework or doing a chore that were really procrastinating God too. We procrastinate doing homework which eventually takes up the time we could be using to pray, or read our Bible or talk about God and fellowship with others. God makes time for me and EVERYONE else in the world EVERYDAY, why can’t I make time for Him? Something else that stuck out to me was a verse that Kevin Deecke read at the end. It was Colossians 3:23-24; it says “23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” I really liked it. I think that everything you do you should do with all your heart and that you should do it for the Lord not just for yourself or because that you want credit for something. Its hard and I know I’m going to have to work on it but I think its possible. Phillipians 4:13 says " I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength."

Live Life TO The Fullest

Okay this is a picture in the Silver Lining at my favorite place in the world Camp Barnabas.I really like it because in a way it points out the real meaning of Christianity. Jesus Christ loves you enough to die for our sins and save us all. He died for us so that we could live for him and share His word and the wonderful things he has done. Its hard to live for Jesus sometimes, but your not alone. There are Christians all over the world who are going through the same thing you are, struggling to live out the word and be a good example of a Christian. I personally struggle sometimes with doing the right thing a being a good example of Christ but i try hard. But im going to try and Live Out Loud. Im going to try and share Christ and be more like Him. I think everyone can do whatever they want if they truely put their mind to it. But God loves you, He always has and always will. But I want to challenge everyone else to live for Him, and if you dont know Him get to. If you dont think God loves you think again, if you dont know God or want to learn more about God just ask questions and ill do my best to answer them.

Remember the picture: Jesus died for you so live for Him!

1 John 4:7-9
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

Camp Barnabas❤

Okay well to start off, Camp Barnabas is a place for people with mental, physical, or medical disabilities such as cancer, disabled, autistic, blind, deaf, you name it and you'll find someone at that camp with it. Camp Barnabas was started by Paul and Cindy Teas in 1994. The Teas believe that EVERYONE, no matter what the condition, should get to go to camp. Camp Barnabas was named after Barnabas, or the Saint of Encouragement. Camp Barnabas' motto is Enlarging the Spirit, Encouraging the Heart♥. My church and many others across the country go to Camp Barnabas as volunteers. There are 3 different categories of volunteers. The first one is Barnstormers, Barnstormers are teenagers that are 14 and 15. Barnstormers are important for camp. As a Barnstormer you, take care of all the dishes: cleaning them, putting them up, putting them out for meals; you clean bathrooms:the cabin bathrooms, mess hall, EVERYWHERE; and you serve: you serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are many other things Barnstormers take care of. The next volunteer category is CIA. A CIA is anyone who is 16 and older. CIA's have a camper they are assigned to take care of for the week. And the last category is staff. Staff does everything else, they prepare the meals, they are cabin moms/dads, they do random things that are at camp that need to be done.

One of the many great things about Camp Barnabas is that it exists to provide life-changing opportunities to people with special needs in a Christian camp setting. Another one of the many great things about camp is, the campers, its the one week where they dont have to worry about being made fun of, worry about what people are gonna say or worry about being loved. Everyone at camp loves the campers, they are the pride and joy of camp and the reason for Barnabas. But Camp Barnabas isn't just about the campers, its about finding God and getting closer to Him. This is my favorite place in the world. At camp you work hard, and its very rewarding, no matter what you always leave changed. Its a place for serving, loving on another, and most of all its a place for God. When your at camp theres not question to wheather or not God is there, I know there are times at home when you ask yourself is God really here, but when your at camp theres never a question about where He is. Hes there. You can feel him, you feel the joy, fun, encouragement, and love that God puts in people, its all there at camp. This place is amazing and no one ever truly understands how amazing it is until they go there and experience it for themselves. Also the people there are amazing! They are super friendly and they are such Godly people! They are friends for life, if you ever needed something no matter what time of day it was you could call any of them and they would be glad to help. You might have only known them for a week but it feels like you've known them for your whole life! When your there you become so close, you become like family. Thats what the people are there, they are family. They are your family in Christ and they are also your Barnabas family. It would be pretty much impossible to go there and not come home moved, changed, or come home with a completely different outlook on life. Its the most amazing place in the world and I would NEVER miss it!

What A Day!!

This morning I woke up thinking "well i hope today will be normal..." I got dressed and got ready just like usual and nothing out of the ordinary, just another day right?? WRONG!!! When we were dropping off the middle schoolers at school my bus started smoking and my bus driver was like everyone off the bus and at first i just thought she meant middle schoolers but just to be safe i got off the bus, and i go over to Mrs. Pearson and say “Did she mean high schoolers too?” Then the next thing i hear is my bus driver screaming “EVERYONE OFF THE BUS!” So Mrs.Pearson goes “Yes i think so” and which causes me to ask “So where do we go?” so Mrs.Pearson response was "get on the bus in front of us". So i did and then the rest of the high schoolers start pilling on, about the time we were rounding the corner my bus bursts into flames!

So there was smoke everywhere and my bus was the talk of the school...

To top all of that off i was sitting in Art and the next thing i know there is a someone on the entercom saying "evacuate the school theres been a bomb threat"! So we all had to go sit in the parking lot for like 30 min doing nothing and then i sat on a melted Hershy's kiss and got chocolate all over my butt!

Talk about your day at school! Two Near Death Experiences!
